Arizona Families for Home Education (AFHE is a large nonprofit statewide organization that has been serving the needs and protecting the rights of Arizona's homeschool families since 1983. AFHE is directed by a Christian Board, but membership is open to all homeschooling parents in Arizona. In addition to a quarterly journal and e-mail alerts, AFHE members receive discount membership fees to HSLDA and reduced admission to the annual convention. High Desert Helpers (High Desert Park in Black Canyon City is the focal point of many fun activities, and High Desert Helpers is the volunteer organization that makes it possible.)

Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA is a nonprofit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms. Since 1983, HSLDA has been providing legal representation for homeschoolers nationwide, so families can enjoy the freedom to homeschool without ever having to face legal threats alone. The cost of a year's membership is close to the rate that you would pay for an hour of an attorney's time almost anywhere else.
